Spring 2002 Graduations

Yolanda is a happy recipient of a Computer I diploma

from the Jamaica Plain Site, Centro Educativo.

Mr. Raymond Tomasini, our guest of honor and a

retired Boston Public Schools Guidance Counselor,

gives a graduation speech filled with warmth and

good advice in English, Spanish, and Italian.

These GED (High School Equivalency) students attended the Saturday

Graduation but before and afterwards they kept on working. For these

students, the most important diploma is the state GED so they can go to

colleges and vocational schools, not the school diploma for attending the

classes.

A lucky student wins a sports activity kit for children at the raffle

Wednesday Night. At each graduation, over 20 prizes are raffled

to add to the mood of excitement, happiness, and accomplishment.
